Since my son Chris doesn't have access to the Internet, I am sending
along his prayers to Jerry's family and friends.  As well as my own.  I
wasn't a Grateful Dead fan, however from what I have heard and seen in
the last two days, I only wish that I would have had to opportunity to
know Jerry.  Seems to have been a genuinely wonderful person!  Rest in
peace Jerry! And...I'll just bet that there is one heck of a jam session
going on in heaven now.

My father is a big dead fan and I now realize what your generation means. His
music will inspire just as many worlds as it already has and Cherry Garcia will
soon be the best flavor ever, in Burlington. Thank you for myself and thank you
for making my father the great father he is. Thank you.

He brought tons of musical joy and fun to my friends, family, and myself.
I come from a family where 6 out of 7 kids have numerous shows under our belts.
The oldest brother started in '69 at the Academy of Music in New York.
Together all six of us have seen near 600 shows.  We have laughed together,
reunioned together, and all at shows- most recently with 4 of us at RFK in DC.

We will greatly miss the music and melody that Jerry gave us.  We would like to
express our deepest condolences to the Grateful Dead, their families,
and most of all to Jerry's kin.

Jerry Garcia is responsible for the single, greatest moment
of my life.
Not many people can pinpoint a moment in their life and
identify it as the greatest.

Jerry has changed my life forever.
See you upstairs, Jerry!!!

It was my intention to tell you the impact that Mr. Jerry Garcia has
had on my life, but that would be impossible for words. So rather I
will say, Jerry was a musical genius, his notes and chords have rung
through my room many a night with a turned ear and a tweaked smile.
My bootleggs will not be forgotten, and Jerry will live on in heart
and tape. But for now I hope you and the family are well, and I just
wanted to express my feelings for what they were worth. God bless

Words escape me.  Thank you, Jerry.  The happiness that you brought to
millions in your short life must surely be the highest achievement any
human can attain.  We, the public, share in your grief.  In the words of
John Lennon, "We all shine on."  God bless.

I am greatly saddened by the lose of one of the greatest musicians of
our time.  I can not explain how much Jerry and the Grateful Dead have
effect my life.  I will always remember the goodtimes as Jerry
gracefully produced his sweet sounds.  He will be missed by the entire
music community but, his music will always live on as a member of the
greatest touring band of my father's time and mine.  I send my deepest
condolences and respect.Jerry will always live on in his music and our
memories.

Thank you, Jerry, for a real good time. I'm remembering all the great things
Jerry gave us. I feel sad for those who were truely his friends, but for us
Deadheads who only knew him from afar---we got all we were owed and
much much more. -Joe.
