STAR-SPANGLED CELEBRATION:  Downtown Baton Rouge riverfront. Live music, food and events for the kids attract thousands downtown each year. Highlights are a fly-over by military aircraft and a mock battle between WWII aircraft and the USS Kidd. DONALDSONVILLE JULY 3RD CELEBRATION: 12:30-9 p.m., Crescent Park, Donaldsonville. Family celebration with live musical entertainment, tribute to Claiborne Williams, indoor picnic lunch, children's activities, fun and games, fireworks at the end of the day. Admission is free. JULY FETE, North Parkerson between Front Street and the railroad tracks, Crowley. Lots of family fun at this festival, which brings the town together for food, music, old-fashioned kids’ activities such as sack races and a balloon toss. Parade, live music and fireworks at 9 p.m. 337-783-0724.
