GUEYDON DUCK FESTIVALThe festival is usually held the weekend before Labor Day. LOUISIANA SHRIMP and PETROLEUM FESTIVAL, Morgan City. This is Louisiana’s oldest chartered harvest festival and has for several years been named as a "Top 20 Event" in North America by the Southeast Tourism Society. ORIGINAL SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA ZYDECO MUSIC FESTIVAL, Opelousas. The sounds of zydeco can be heard from two stages, with Creole cultural presentations and regional cuisine also offered.
